Podcast Editing

Wavelength Creative provides comprehensive podcast editing services to businesses, brands, and government agencies. We’ve worked as the podcast editor for a variety of number one shows, and have a wealth of experience in delivering high-quality audio.

What Is Podcast Editing

Podcast editing is a process that involves audio clean-up and repair, editing interview content, fixing technical issues, and a final mixing and mastering phase. It begins with the raw audio files of the interview or recording, and through the post-production process, becomes a packaged, finished podcast ready for your listeners to enjoy.

Why Do You Need Podcast Editing?

With so many podcasts on the market these days, simply recording an episode and pressing publish isn’t enough to make your show stand out from the crowd. Editing your podcast helps make your episodes clean, professional, and engaging, whilst making you and your guests sound confident and knowledgeable.

Our Team Of Podcast Editors

Our experienced podcast editors have worked on hundreds of episodes, and have a wealth of knowledge to bring to your show. The podcast editor for your show will work with industry standard technology, such as Adobe Audition, iZotope RX 9, and Wave Audio plugin, to get your show sounding as polished as possible.

Our Podcast Editing Approach

Our podcast editing process aims to polish the audio of the speakers, refining the episodes content, focus the episodes message and remove tangents, and remove other filler language and mistakes. We do this through a four-step process:

1. Audio clean-up

Remove background noise, VoIP issues, sibilance, resync audio, and clean up any other audio issues.

2. Content edit

Cut tangents and off-topic conversation, boring segments, long-winded answers, and other obvious mistakes.

3. Technical edit

Remove umms/ahhs, vocal stumbles, cut-off breaths, mouth noises, clicks, plosives, and other technical issues.

4. Mix and master

Combine the interview with our intro/outro voice-over, intro/outro music, apply EQ, adjust loudness, mix and master to -16 LUFS.
